How content gets onto a screen

All three steps happen at your desk.

  1. Upload or design

Drag images, videos, PDFs and Office files into the media library. Or fill in a ready-made template, for this week's offer or the lunch menu, for example.

  2. Decide when and where

Build a playlist and assign it to screens or to whole groups of stores. Times of day, weekdays and public holidays control what is showing.

  3. The screen plays and reports back

Devices download new content by themselves, play it and report what ran. If a device goes down, you see it in the hub and, if you like, get an email.

What you can do with AIO Hub

Keep content current, plan and design it, and keep an eye on every screen without anyone having to be on site.

All your content in one place

  • One media library for everything

Images, videos, PDFs, web pages and widgets are neatly organised in folders. Replace a file and it is up to date everywhere it plays.

  • Office files straight to the screen

A price list from Excel or a PowerPoint presentation from sales is converted into a PDF on upload, ready for the screen to display.

  • Connect your file storage

Bring in files from OneDrive, SharePoint, Dropbox or Nextcloud. Find royalty-free photos and videos from Pixabay and Pexels right inside the hub.

Plan what plays when

  • A weekly plan you set with the mouse

Drag time slots onto a calendar view. Breakfast menu in the morning, lunch at noon, the special offer in the evening.

  • Public holidays by region

The hub knows the public holidays of every German federal state and follows your rule, for example: show opening hours on holidays.

  • One screen, several zones

Split a screen: video on the left, offers on the right, a news ticker along the bottom. Each zone has its own playlist.

  • One playlist, regional differences

One campaign for every store, and the north still sees something different from the south.

Design without design software

  • Templates nobody can break

Your agency or head office designs the template; the store only fills in price and text, even from a phone.

  • Live data on screen

Weather, menus, departure times, news, calendar appointments, countdowns, or a Power BI report with your figures.

  • Touch terminals and kiosks

Pages that open with a tap and return to the start page on their own after a while without a touch.

Stay on top of every screen

  • A dashboard that shows what needs attention

See at a glance how many screens are running and which ones need attention, each with the reason.

  • Alerts when a screen fails

If a screen stops reporting or shows an error, you get an email, and a second one as soon as it is running again.

  • Proof of play

How often did which content run on which device? See it as an overview and download it, for your advertising partners, for example.

  • Load new content at night

If a screen runs on mobile data, let large files load at night only and see how much data each device uses.

Teams, stores, security

  • Role-based permissions

Who may change content, who may only view it, who manages devices? You decide for each area.

  • Multiple clients, kept separate

Agencies and service providers look after several clients in one hub, each with its own logo, colour and login page.

  • Secure sign-in

A second factor with an authenticator app, or sign-in with your Microsoft, Google, Apple or Okta account.

  • Connect your systems

Your POS or merchandise management system changes prices and content through an API. You can revoke its access keys at any time.

Which devices does AIO Hub run on?

You manage everything in one place, whatever device drives the screen.

  • Android

With the AIO Player app on Android boxes and on displays with built-in Android. The player licence is included in every package.

  • Windows

The Windows player runs on any Windows PC that drives a screen. It installs with a setup program and receives updates through the hub.

  • Web browser

Any screen with a browser becomes a player through a protected link, borderless and full screen if you like.

    More about the Web Player
  • E-paper

Colour e-paper signs from 10 to 32 inches for shelves, doors and shop windows, with no backlight and very low power use. Hardware on request.

Where does your data live?

Wherever suits you. The feature set is largely the same in all three options.

  • In our cloud

We run the hub for you in a data centre in Germany and take care of updates and backups.

The simplest route for most customers.

  • On your own server (on‑premises)

Your IT team runs the hub itself, on your own server or in your cloud. Setup happens in the browser, and a backup is made automatically before every update.

For companies with their own IT and strict policies.

  • As a box on your network

A small Android box sits on your premises and feeds the screens locally. Content never leaves the building.

With a slightly smaller feature set, for example without email alerts, single sign-on, cloud storage or Office conversion.

Data protection under the GDPR: external services, such as weather or postcodes, come from providers in Germany and the EU. Fonts and software libraries are served by the hub itself.

Frequently asked questions

What is AIO Hub?

AIO Hub is digital signage software. You manage content, schedules and screens centrally in a web browser, and the connected players show the content automatically. AIO Hub is developed by Kapaso GmbH in Aying near Munich, Germany.

How much does digital signage with AIO Hub cost for three screens?

The Starter package for three screens costs €1,497 net for three years, which is €499 per screen. Updates and player licences are included. Business covers 10 screens for €3,990, and Pro covers 25 screens for €7,475.

Is there a monthly subscription?

No. You pay for a three-year package or once for a perpetual licence. Support can be added as needed.

Can I run AIO Hub on my own server?

Yes. Besides our cloud there is a self-hosted version for your own server (on-premises) and an Android box for your local network. Your data then stays on your premises.

Where is my data stored?

In our cloud, data is stored in a data centre in Germany, in line with the GDPR. If you run the hub yourself, it stays on your server. External services for weather or postcodes come from Germany and the EU.

Which screens and devices are supported?

Android players and Android displays with the AIO Player app, Windows PCs, any screen with a web browser, and e-paper signs.

Which files can I show?

Images and videos in common formats, PDFs, web pages and widgets. Word, Excel and PowerPoint files are converted to PDF automatically on upload.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Players keep playing what they have already downloaded. Once the connection is back, they pick up the changes. After a configurable period (30 days by default), Android and Windows players show a notice instead of outdated prices.

Do I need to install software?

Not for managing content: the hub runs in your browser. The screens run the matching player: an app on Android, a program on Windows, or simply a browser window.

What happens when the licence expires?

When it expires, Android, Windows and browser players stop showing playlists until the licence is renewed. You can renew at any time before it runs out.
